Researchers from the University of Valencia joined NRD – Sassari partners in a cork oak wooded pasture in Sardinia to exchange knowledge and techniques on managing agro-silvopastoral systems for ecosystem services. Their work within SALAM-MED focuses on optimizing soil and water-related benefits by improving the hydrological cycle. By combining local expertise with advanced modeling tools like C.A.F.E. (Carbon, Aqua, Fire & Eco-resilience), we aim to enhance sustainability and resilience in Mediterranean drylands.
