At the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Sassari, Dr. 𝗚𝗶𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗼 (CNR, Italian National Research Council – Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection) holds the seminar *”Remote Sensing – Monitoring the Physiological Conditions of Vegetation from a Distance.”* The seminar is part of the 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺-𝗠𝗘𝗗 project. Dr. Marino’s research focuses on plant response, resistance, and adaptation mechanisms to environmental factors most affected by climate change, such as water availability, atmospheric CO₂ concentration, ambient temperature, and light quality. His work combines direct physiological measurements with the development and application of remote sensing techniques.
